Ingredients:
For the Mushrooms:
2 cups sliced mushrooms (cremini or button)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional for garnish)
For the Sandwich:
2 slices Swiss cheese
1 large baguette or hoagie roll
1 tbsp melted butter
Instructions:
SautΓ© the Mushrooms:
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced mushrooms, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
SautΓ© for 5β7 minutes until mushrooms are tender and golden brown.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the Bread:
Slice the baguette or hoagie roll lengthwise but donβt cut all the way through.
Brush the inside with melted butter and toast it lightly in a skillet or under a broiler until golden.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Lay Swiss cheese slices inside the toasted bread.
Top with the sautΓ©ed mushrooms.
Place the sandwich under the broiler or in the skillet (covered) for 1β2 minutes to melt the cheese.
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle chopped parsley on top for added freshness.
